Cranberry sighting

I just saw that the cranberries have just been put out at the grocery store. I'm so excited that I already bought two bags to start with. I will do what I have done in past years, and buy two bags at a time to put in the freezer so that I can enjoy cranberries all year round. I love, love, love cranberries. Cranberry sauce, cranberry magic bars, cranberry cookies, cranberry jam cheesecake, and most of all sugared cranberries. These beautiful jewels are so incredibly easy to make, and taste like literal candy. Display these tasty treats in a pretty glass bowl and they pull double duty as both a gorgeous centerpiece and something sweet to munch on.

I love how they're crunchy and kind of pop in your mouth when you bite them. Last year I decided to try and make these with a sugar alternative (it was a splenda blend.) And what do you know? It worked just as well, they tasted just as good, and they were every bit as pretty. I was quite impressed.
