For the Love of Books and Flowers

Back in 2012 my sister got married. She had told my mother that she wanted to carry a book down the isle instead of a bouquet of flowers. After my mom told me, I decided to propose the idea to my sister of flowers that were made out of the pages of the book that she wanted: Pride and Prejudice. She loved the idea, so I offered to make them for her. She picked the book, but she give me total creative freedom to choose the colors and whatever else. So, I printed the words on the correct size pieces of paper for each petal. I didn't want to buy the book to cut it up, that just felt wrong or something; even though it's not. I spent hours making these kusudama flowers, attaching the stems, and tying it all together with a ribbon that matched my sister's dress. I made her husband's boutonniere as well. I was so proud that I was able to contribute to her wedding in such a special way. They turned out lovely, and now she has them to keep forever!
