Iced tea and lemonade

In the parking lot at a grocery store near us is this golf ball that's stuck in the pavement. I wish that it could talk and tell me how it became lodged in the middle of this fairly large parking lot. Did there used to be a driving range there back when the grocery store was first built? Who hit the ball there, and were they angry, upset, amused with what happened to their ball?

I took this picture back in 2016, and this is still in the parking lot; the grocery store has decided not to "fix" it. It makes me smile and laugh to myself (and really want an Arnold Palmer) every time I walk by.
