Into the Sunset

On one of our trips to the beach, we went to this really fun gift shop called Murdochs. Murdochs is the oldest gift shop on the island. Here is an article that was written about Murdochs and it's history. If you're ever in Galveston, you just have to go. They have so many gift shoppy things from shells, to t-shirts, just trinkets to remind you of your trip. Murdochs also has some drinks and snacks that you can enjoy sitting out on the big deck overlooking the water. It is really quite peaceful and a good break from reality. Someone I know takes quite a liking to pirates, so I got him this little bitty model of a sail boat. Of course, before I gave this gift away, I had to take the opportunity to photograph it on the beach.


I'm obsessed: the water, the reflection of the boat, the wet sand, the sun--it's perfect! If you can't make it out to Murdochs and desire a little sail boat for your collection, here are a few items that I have found:
