La Reina del Tex-Mex

In June of 2017 we took trifecta road trip: Corpus Christi, Austin, and (you guessed it) Galveston. We stayed at the Omni located right on the bay. We were upgraded with an absolutely spectacular view of the bay!

I love Selena. I absolutely love her, as many do. Such a beautiful, kind, generous, talented soul gone way too soon, and so tragically. Since we were right on the bay where Selena's memorial is, it was very important, essential really, that I visit. Just stepping foot into the little gazebo that covered her statue, it was so apparent just how many people loved her. It was so strange how the whole vibe instantly changed by being in that space. All of the bricks that surrounding her memorial were filled with messages of love and gratitude. I am so happy that I was able to see her memorial. To our queen of Tejano music, we love you and you're missed.
