Galveston beach isn't usually home to many shells. Well many impressive shells anyway. There was this one year when we went out and walked along the shore during low tide, and actually found some really interesting treasures that we don't usually get to see in Galveston; lots more shells than you normally see and big rocks from the gulf. I found this rock that was covered in barnacles and pink algae. It was framed by the sand and highlighted in the beautiful golden hour sun. Naturally I was obsessed and just had to take this home with me in the form of a digital photograph.
