One and done

The city that we live in has held a hot air balloon festival for 40 years. Nine years ago we decided to go to the festival. How much fun will it be see the balloons inflate and take off right before our eyes? That's something that I've never seen before. I'm there, sign me up, let's go! And at the end of the day, it was definitely very cool. However, when we walked in those gates, there was regret. There were more people in one place than I had ever seen in my life. Walking down the pathways where you could play fair type games and buy snacks and little trinkets, people where shoulder to shoulder and moving along literally like cattle. Then and there the decision was made that never again will we go. I'll just remember the one time that we did, look at the pictures and remember the wonder I felt watching those big balloons blow up and take off.
