Texture

Nature is fascinating. The absolute art that is created by nature is simply amazing. It is as if we are surrounded by a gallery that we can experience whenever we want. I have always found a particular interest in the texture created in tree trunks. Specifically the older trees that you know have been there for quite some time. Showcase those pictures in black and white, and the texture just pops.

I took this picture on a recent day trip to a lake harbor. At this harbor the water is surrounded with shops and restaurants, and there is a hotel there as well. I have stayed there a few times. Little staycations are always so much fun. I kind of love being a local tourist. This trip I got a burger and ate it as I looked over the water.
