That Sunset

This past weekend, we finally got to take a trip down to Galveston. It has been a long year-and-a-half since we have been there. It was so nice to be back for a few days! We usually stay at a resort that is on the seawall, but we decided to switch it up a little bit and stay at the Moody Gardens Hotel. I have written about Moody Gardens before, and how they have three pyramids; one rainforest pyramid, one that has an aquarium, and one that is called the discovery pyramid that has a theater and a few science museum type exhibits (in my opinion, by far the least impressive of the three.) We had a really great view from our room of the pyramids, the pool, and the bay. I took this picture of the sun setting behind the aquarium pyramid.

It was definitely a different vibe staying on the bay side of the island. I do hope that we will be able to do it again sometime.
